Native Plant Garden

ABOUT NPG

The Native Plant Garden is a new initiative where we hope to revitalize a pond area to resemble a native plant garden.

By improving the water quality of the pond, differentiating native and invasive plants, this includes the extraction of non-natural materials for a healthy replanting session full of vegetation while increasing a natural habitat for wildlife.

It's an opportunity to get out and turn an abandoned area into a more efficient space!

"More Sunshine"

Here we are trying to open up the garden by clearing up the front area of the wild Nootka Roses that are over grown onto the fence.

Cleaning up the space by collecting some old tiny pieces of trash such as wrappers, pens, debris, old pots that have been abandoned over the years.

Getting Ready for Winter!

Have been focused in layering dead leaves in the garden so that, over the winter, the dead leaves would decompose and nourish the soil!
